This was actually the story I was going to give you yesterday, that is, before the wife and I decided to take the kid to the Ozarks for the weekend. I suppose in light of the situation I should have an evil hillbilly tale for you here instead, but Brian Hirsch has again submitted one of the absolute most demented Dark Mysteries entries ever. Everybody show Brian some lovin’ for these scans! (And I don't mean "hillbilly lovin'!")

LOOK AT THAT SPLASH!!BOTH OF THE POSTS TODAY HAVE A REALLY TWISTED SENSE OF HUMOR........AND THOUGH THE IDEA OF MIXING THE TORSOS DOESN'T SEEM TO HAVE ANY REAL BEARING ON WHY THEY COME BACK TO LIFE IT STILL MAKES FOR A DISTURBING TITLE.
insane double header today! pity everyones commenting on the crandall post and not this one too

Interesting, I too would have thought this one would be getting more attention this morning. You never can tell what people like, I suppose if it's Crandall art over grimy gore then the excellent art will win everytime.
this has always been in my top 3 pre code stories. The cover for this issue is a winner too!
Wow, that was awesome -- truly horrific.
As noted, the splash page was excellent. And the decomposed leg in the middle of the last page was well-executed (Executed! Ha!).
Karswell, I inadvertently bailed out after the Crandall story .... without scrowling further down.
But as I often do, I returned in short order, and only THEN actually noticed the torso tale.
Yep, this one's a bit creepy, too.
Now that was a terrific story! Great art all around and beautifully gory. As nice as the Crandall art is in the first story, this one IMHO is the better of the two.
Also, I may be mistaken, but in the last panel on page 2- is that a skull converted into a coffee mug holding left-over bones? I need to get one of those for my desk...
You know, if you look closely at how obsessive Garth is and his method of keeping Faith sealed in her clear, air-tight tomb, it's not really that far off from some of you craaaazy CGC grade collectors.
Awwwww, poor Garth just thought he was protecting her....what a touching and gentle story of love a person can feel....man this is some good acid...
Fantastic posts today, thanks to Karswell and Brian for giving us something interesting to read everyday!!
Wow, sorry I missed this one on the day! If only Gotho in Hunchback of the Morgue had figured out the whole "aquarium full of formaldehyde" idea, he could have avoided a lot of trouble! ;)
Is it just me, or is there implied necrophilia her in addition to all the gory life-restoring torso-mixing? Yeah, you're right, it's probably just me.
I need to get out more!
