Another terror tale from the June 1953 issue of Worlds of Fear #10 (see previous post) and from the same scan source as well, thank you whoever you were!-- and this time, Bob McCarty is on art duties and delivers his creepy carnival-esque spin variation of the infamous 'ol classic siamese twin twisteroo that EC so clearly, and influentially first unleashed. Grab some cotton candy and step right up, folks, it's time for--

The Corpse in the House
As we creep closer and closer to Halloween 2019, it's time to nail down a few more putrid posts, and this rotten terror tale from the February 1954 issue off This Magazine is Haunted #15, (with art by Bob McCarty), is the perfect fix you upper / downer. I was trying to remember if I've ever posted a carpenter horror story here at THOIA before-- and I don't mean John! *gag!*

The Haunting White Shadow
Got some stories from Beware! Terror Tales lined up for you in the next few posts-- kicking it off with another crooked pair of doomed numbskulls who have it bad enough as is with just each other, let alone getting the supernatural involved in their hopeless escapades. Fun art by Bob McCarty as usual-- from the September 1951 issue of Fawcett's Beware! Terror Tales #3.

The City of the Dead! / Charm of Charlton
In honor of the brand spankin' new and incredibly mind blowing and informative Charm of Charlton website, here's an encore presentation of The City of the Dead! from the April 1953 issue of This Magazine is Haunted #10. After you read the story, drop by Space Lord's site and dig in-- but be warned, prepare to spend multiple hours of your day, aka life-- because this one will definitely suck you in and not let go! Click HERE for it!

Return of the Dead!
Time for the final remaining tale from the January 1953 issue of Beware! Terror Tales #5 (check the THOIA archives for "The Horror of the 13th Stroke", "The Lonely One!", and "The Ghoul of Eldritch Manor!") See what happens when kooky hoods tangle with a gypsy and the supernatural! Okay, another complete issue down, and just in time as I head out to San Diego Comic Con 2013 this weekend-- stay tuned for info about our panel on Saturday night, as well as the HAUNTED HORROR signing on Sunday at the IDW booth! Hope to see some of you again this year!

Dance of the Doomed
The last THOIA post from the February 1953 issue of Strange Stories from Another World #5 is actually the first story in this issue, blurbed on the tremendous Norm Saunders cover too, and unfortunately for horror comic history, this was also the final issue of this occasionally thrilling, short lived series from Fawcett Pub. For all the tales in this one see the last 3 posts, as well as Vampire's Daughter that we posted last year.
