Let's finish up January 2023 with one more kooky Iger Shop classic. And if the wintery weather in your area is as shiver inducin' as it is here in mine, then extra bonus points apply today to your icy spinal chills! And along with todays kills and whatev ending, we have the usual, unintentional "ha-ha ho-ho hee-hee" Ajax / Farrell humor, and for some reason I find the "fur vault" dialog on page 4 with butler Higgins to be especially hilarious. So bundle up and dig in, we'll be back in Feb for lots more. From the April 1954 issue of Haunted Thrills #14.

Horror A La Mode
Time for another spine-tinglin' terror trip to the Charnel House of Horrors, aka the January 1954 issue of Mysteries Weird and Strange #5. If this fright feast doesn't fill ya up, I'll have one more deadly dish to serve up before the end of the month is officially over, so stay tombed...

The Deadly Double
Time to watch another undeserving, murderous jackass meet his not-so-awful fate at the hands of the gorgeous gals he's destroyed. And hey, I don't know about you, but [SPOILER ALERT] eternal life with two sexy red head spooks might not actually be that bad-- know what I'm sayin'? From the joltin' January 1954 issue of Mysteries Weird and Strange #5.

"You Don't Dare Dig the Gruesome Groupies!"
Satanic Saturdays are back, and we're re-sellin' our souls for rock 'n roll with this darlin' lil ditty about makin' it big in the 'ol music biz! DC never stopped trying to make the most out of popular pop culture trends by putting spooky twists on everything the kids were currently into back then... and I guess things haven't really changed much with the rather out of touch way that things actually work / don't work in the industry. Still makes for 100% pure entertainment! From the December 1971 issue of The Unexpected #130.

Lady Killer
Some of you are aware that Mr. Karswell has a vintage mannequin collection, and todays tale from the December 1970 - January 1971 issue of The Unexpected #122 is a pretty good example of how one form of that macabre level of "mannequin madness" can actually get started. Just saying...

Hell House
Stumbled upon a beautiful page of original Sanho Kim art over at Comicartfans HERE, and immediately had to dig up the full story, originally featured in the January 1973 issue of The Many Ghosts of Dr. Graves #36. And even with the familiar old "night in a haunted house inheritance" set-up, and rather abrupt ending, it's still full of chilling specters, and highly atmospheric moments.

Film Freak
It's probably no real stretch to assume that if you're a fan of horror comics, then you're also likely a fan of horror movies. But how hardcore are you, really? If you're anything like the nutters in this sci-fi creature feature from the Oct '74 issue of Haunted #18-- then you are indeed a FILM FREAK!
