How to Win a Witch!

What would you do if you won a supernaturally powered redhead? I hope you have a better plan than 'ol lame brain Lester here, but also maybe there's a lesson or two to be learned from all of this macabre madness, as well! From the December 1972 issue of The Witching Hour #26.

What Drove Him Bats?

How batty have you ever been driven? I bet it wasn't as batty as the hero of today's tale, but of course you still have plenty of time to improve upon that lurid life quest if you try hard enough and simply ignore the townspeople's warnings! From the July 1975 issue of Witching Hour #56.

"The Dread of Night"

One more from the October 1973 issue of The Witching Hour #35 (see our previous post), and this time it's a spooky weird, lurid AF love triangle of terror, where the games people play most definitely come back to pay! Awesome Luis Dominguez art, especially that award winning splash of atmosphere...

Cry in Car 13

Here's something different for you, from the October 1973 issue of The Witching Hour #35. And similar to an emotionally fueled episode of The Twilight Zone, we discover that sometimes man can be just as monsterous as anything supernaturally charged with evil. But is it horror?

Baby Doll Was Deadly

I keep finding more cool Jess Jodloman stories, so you know what? Let's just give 'ol JJ the spooky Spotlight Artist of the Month and finish out May with a couple more jeepers creepers, --pickin' things up with a cursed doll tale o'terror from the macabre May 1977 issue of Witching Hour #71!

Beware the Snare of the Tarantula

Found a spider in my attic last night which reminded me of the fantastic fright film classic, The Fly (1958), but it also reminded me of this downright shiver inducin' creepy crawly chiller from the May 1975 issue of Witching Hour #54. The art is by Jess Jodloman which isn't a name that rings many bells around this blog, --I'll absolutely have to rectify that immediately as this is some of the spookiest post code horror I've seen around my own sector of the web in quite awhile...

Bride of Satan

Flash Forward to the satanic 70's, and here's an evil classic conjured up by George Kashdan and Vicente Alcazar for the December 1974 issue of Witching Hour #49. Also, for anyone looking for HAUNTED HORROR #6 this week (as incorrectly reported), it'll actually be in stores next week on Sept 4th!

The Girl Who Couldn't Die!

Stopping by an antique shop a few weeks ago to say hi to a friend working there led to the discovery of a mutilated copy of Marvel's Giant-Size Chillers #1 in a small stack of junk mags (I love when that happens!) containing this cool 'n spooky old Paul Reinman reprint, originally presented in the October 1951 issue of Adventures into Terror #6. (Please excuse the condition of this story in places, I tried to clean it up as much as possible.)
