The Devil Seeds / Monster Fang!

We'll stick with Fiction House's freaky Ghost Comics series for a few more rounds, and like our last post, we have another superbly illustrated story (aka The Little Farm of Horrors) from Johnny Bell (aka John Belcastro), highlighted by his beautifully bold line work which, at times, seriously rivals the likes of Nostrand or Davis. Plus, an eerie bonus quickie with art by Jack Abel, both from the Winter 1953 issue of Ghost Comics #9. The incredible cover art is by Maurice Whitman.

Who Called Us Back?

Awesomely atmospheric art from the great Johnny Bell highlights this super spook spectacular from Ghost Comics #7 (1953), as we kick off a monstrous month of March Madness 'n Murder 'n Mayhem and many more things that might make you midwich cuckoos really go over the edge!

Ghost of the Gorgon

My 4 year old son watched Clash of the Titans for the first time a few weeks ago and was unnaturally fascinated by the scene with the gorgon. So fascinated in fact was he that he’s been walking around simply saying the word “gorgon” over and over to the point where if I hear it again I’ll surely turn to stone. Which brings me to today’s beautifully illustrated post from John Bell... the flimsy story doesn't really go anywhere but damn it sure looks nice.

From Ghost Comics #10 (1954)No GCD entry exists for this issue
