It's been a very long time since we ventured into the excellent era of 80's Eclipse terror-tory stories, so here's a fun little two-parter featuring the same story set-up in each, but with two brutally different, outrageous outcomes! Written by Bruce Jones (of course), and featuring some really great cartooning by Bill Wray, this short but sweet "Choose Your Favorite Climax" combo is still packed with plenty of meat, and is a real horror hoot for you giggling gore fans! From the December 1984 issue of Twisted Tales #10, and highlighted with a perfectly putrid cover painting by joltin' John Pound!

Demon Kiss / The Devil's Matchmaker
Having survived the madhouse that is San Diego Comic Con 2013, I return with a demonic Double Feature, both tales from the November 1974 issue of Red Circle Comics Group MADHOUSE #96, the first story written and illustrated by the great Bruce Jones, (it certainly doesn't get much better than bikinis and blasphemy for this blogger!), and the second atmospheric story illustrated by Sal Amendola. I'll have more from this scary, short-lived silver age horror series in the next few posts too.

As Ye Sow...
Awww, everyone loves babies! Wait. That's not how I wanted to introduce this story. The winning combination of Bruce Jones and Luis Bermejo teamed up for this cringe inducing classic, (also from the May 1976 issue of Creepy #79 like our last post), and whether or not you think it's cruel or pushing the bounds of taste, well... ooops! I didn't mean to say "taste" either.

In Deep
Bruce Jones and Richard Corben teamed up for this grueling piece of tragedy and terror on the high seas in the October 1976 issue of Creepy #83, reminding us in this post-JAWS era that it's still never going to be safe to go back into the water for any reason. Ever.

Banjo Lessons / Terminated
Twisted Tales Weekend concludes with two tales from the startlingly controversial October 1983 issue of Twisted Tales #5. Both stories were written by Bruce Jones of course, with art on the first story by Rand Holmes, while the second story features the wonderfully chunky art of Richard Corban (who also provided the cover art for this issue.) Jones daringly entered EC Shock SuspenStories territory with the first tale here today, but I’ll leave it to Pacific Comics’ editor April Campbell to set this one up for you with her Special Editorial:
