Yawns 'n flowers don't sound too scary, do they? Well, let's just see how Kenneth Landau and Ed Good deliver on these everyday things from the 1954 issue of The Clutching Hand #1 one-shot from ACG. Spooky cover by Ken Bald too!
Had a couple more requests for some additional Lin Streeter slickness, and it doesn't get much more slick 'n slimy than this silly swamp creature classic from the May 1954 issue of Forbidden Worlds #29. Thrills, chills, and amphibious adventure await! (Cover art by Ken Bald.)
THOIA's Monster Vegetation theme continues, and today's story by Ken Bald is from the January 1951 issue ofAdventures into the Unknown #15... it begins in the jungle, but ends in a lonely greenhouse where a strange, terrifying creature of evil is born!
Ken Bald finishes up our week as well as our two-day theme of storybook characters brought back to screaming evil life (see yesterday’s post.) Today’s tale is from the March 1952 issue of Adventures into the Unknown #29 and adds a neat little twist on the theme by actually giving the baddies some real competition.
Everyone have a great weekend!
COMING UP: An all request weekend! Tomorrow it’s going to get witchy around here, and on the 22nd we head into outer space for another scary Sci-Fi Sunday. Don’t miss!
Just when you think I’ve posted too many ACG yarns, along comes another instant classic from the bowels of my collection. This one is about a woman who marries Death… literally! There’s some exceptionally nice angles and eerie moments here, particularly those that take place in the morgue sequence.
