I was trying to remember another example of an individual horror comic story itself constructed in an anthology manner, as well as being featured within a horror anthology comic book. I'm coming up empty though, does anyone else remember one? This tale from the September 1954 issue of Weird Chills #2 is a lot of fun and actually pretty good, reaching for a horror high despite a writer / artist not quite up to par with the concept, (see also focal requirement for better fluidity!) Could be worse, it could be better, and it's still as 100% entertaining as anything Amicus Studios released...

The Gorilla
Time to get swingin' on THOIA's Valentines Massacre 2020 this year-- yes sir, it's an entire month devoted to love gone wonderfully whack-oh, and weirdly wrong! And one of the most non-subtle, fright-filled moments of *CENSORED* to leap outta the fifties funny pages comes from the July 1954 issue of Weird Chills #1. Good lord, you barely even need to read the lines (or between 'em) to know what's going on in this white man, fever dream, freak-out. And my, how times have certainly not changed... not even a little bit.

Terror on TV
Continuing where we left off yesterday with even more televised evil, this story comes from the same Weird Chills issue as the Clumsy post from Nov 2nd. I should probably just spotlight this entire issue one of these days because every tale is great--- sinister parrots, the boogey man. Well, maybe not the parrot story...

Clumsy
This is one of the more “suggestive” pre-code stories I’ve posted here so far, but I’ll keep the intro short and let all the random little thoughts and odd details come out in the comments, of which this one is sure to generate plenty.
