Rex Lane, “Solver of the Supernatural” is one of four individual stories featured in issues
#21, 22, and
23 of
Atlas Comics’ Young Men series. Other stories in this run of the series revolve around a war hero, a race car driver, and a boxer. But to me,
Rex Lane’s tales of ghostly hauntings are the best of the lot, as he attempts to disprove the supernatural, but instead always manages to discover that the sinister forces of darkness do indeed exist. With excellent art from
George Tuska, today’s entry features a phony séance that turns out to be anything but. Now if only
Lane’s catty girlfriend
Belle wasn’t so annoying!
