On this day in 2007, THOIA was born! And I'd say we've had a pretty goddamn good run when you look at how much fantastic stuff is curated and collected here in the archive over these many 17 years. Of course I owe it all to the continued few of you out there that never stopped coming to my web house and leaving constructive, clever comments, and basically just become a perfect part of the Karswell Chum Squad. I once again also give a big shout-out thank you to those who suggested stories, donated scans, and basically just helped this blog expand and grow to the monster that it has become. My motto has always been "NEVER STOP" but realistically, how many more years can this go on? Only time will tell. So for now I think it's equally time to give the bigger boss His due, by paying a visit to another house where the horror... never... stops... from the February 1976 issue of Beyond the Grave #4.

Read the Signs
Word has come down the pike that my new Vampires Bloodshot One-Shot for Asylum Press has met with some temporary printing issues and will be slightly delayed, thus no longer making it the anticipated Halloween treat we'd hoped it would be. I'll update with the new release info as soon as I know more, and mucho apologies to everyone messaging me about it. In the meantime, here's another blood sucker tale to hold you over, from the July 1982 issue of Scary Tales #33, also just cruising down the pike, and lookin' for a bite...

They Got Away!
I've already been finding some really cool, used, vintage Halloween masks as we approach the month of October. The resale shops and antique malls seem to be totally in the spirit, and so am I, of course, so keeping in the aforementioned spirit, here's a fun terror tale starring some masks, as well as the much maligned motorcycle gang. Seriously, is there anyone more clearly doomed in a horror comic book story than the mean, satanic, Silver Age motorcycle gang? Well, maybe the great white game hunter from any comic book era, but whatev, --getcher motors runnin', and head out on the highway, it's time to see what fate has in store for Glenn Danzig and Richard O'Brien leading a cast of cruel characters in, "They Got Away!", (Rated R) from the June 1976 issue of Beyond the Grave #6.
