On one hand, I think that these stories would be better if their principals weren't so exquisitely stupid or irrational — like Hiram, unable or unwilling to adjust in a *ahem* timely manner to new information. On the other hand, I fear that this may be a very realistic aspect of these stories.
YESTERDAYS STORY WAS BETTER TO ME BUT THIS ONE WAS COOL, LOVED THE WEIRD LANDSCAPES AND MONSTERS. I REMEMBER SEEING AN OLD MOVIE OR SOMETHING THAT HAD A CLOCK STRIKING 13 TIMES AND THEN CREEPY THINGS WOULD HAPPEN....... ANYONE KNOW WHAT IT WAS CALLED?
>I fear that this may be a very realistic aspect of these stories.
You're right... without stupid characters making stupid decisions, half of pre-code comics wouldn't even exist or be so entertaining.
>I don't think I've ever heard of an evil digital clock.
They've probably already made a couple movies about evil digital clocks in Japan (soon to be re-made in Hollywood.) If they can make a hundred films about evil cellphones and evil vhs tapes then a digital clock can't be too much to expect.
>AN OLD MOVIE OR SOMETHING THAT HAD A CLOCK STRIKING 13 TIMES
Sounds familiar, maybe it was a movie or even an old TV show like Twilight Zone or Thriller maybe. Or a Scooby Doo episode.
>Oh, the innuendo!
I was waiting for someone to quote those!
STARTING TOMORROW: A few days of select obnoxiousness from Superior's VOODOO series!
after reading yesterday's post i almost posted the Eerie pubs version of today's post! whata coinkydink that would've been! (you may fall down in hilarious amazement at this point.)A MILLION LAUGHS! FOR NOTHING!...
i'm alright, i'm alright, but that clock over there is looking at me funny...

Well the coinky dinks continue Prof, cuz tomorrow I'm posting a story from Voodoo that Pappy posted last October (but his was from an Eerie Pub reprint.)

Nice surreal touch, the blazing "clock sun" hanging over the evil landscape.
Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever heard of an evil digital clock. Probably safest to stick to those.

'Why… why don't you come to my place tonight, Sam? Spend the evening with me!'
'It's almost midnight, Sam! How about coming into my bedroom? I'd like to show you something!'
Oh, the innuendo!
