Grimm Ghost Doctor: Black Roses!

Time for some sexy ghost girl thrills 'n chills from the Winter 1944-45 issue of Bomber Comics #4! Not sure if I've ever posted any of these Grimm Ghost Doctor stories before, but they're pretty fun and are always loaded with easy-on-the-eyes, (dead or alive) good girl art... who's the artist?

OK, Grimm, how many ghosts have you run into at this point??? Bring along a camera! Bring alone the chief! If you are going to complain the chief doesn't believe you, at this point that's on you!

I love the old time-y (well new time-y for this story) knife/note. I really should do that to a neighbor but for nice things like "hey, your flowers look really good this year!"

The story conclusion was pretty obvious, but I really liked the ghost, and I love how absolutely unfazed Grimm is about nearly everything. Yeah, yeah, another ghost, where's my ghost distingrator? He's one ape and guy in a zoot suit away from filmation's Ghost Busters!

A ghost who uses a dagger, and a typewriter to leave a warning message.
While not as bonkers as a Diamond Jack story this one was out of left field, and who doesn't love an oddball horror tale now and then?

What I totally dig about this story is that the splash panel is a window into the critical backstory. That's some kind of nervy yarn-spinning right there, starting from the beginning even though the narrative comes medias res. It's not giving away the ending, really, but totally front-loading that big reveal, giving us a scene in which we can see what it was that happened to perpetuate the rest of these pages. I'd like to see more of that kinda thing.

I agree with everyone else about this one.

Hearing the ghost say "Don't bother, I'm going" to the person about to do the exorcising has a lot of novelty to it.
