The Charlton creeps are eruptin' from the deep today at THOIA, with a nice 'n icky drippy pair-up via the June 1975 issue of Ghostly Tales #106, as well as one from the November 1982 issue of Scary Tales #35 --and both illustrated by the terrifyingly terrific, Tom Sutton too! Things from the murky, lurky depths hold a special place in my heart-- maybe these slimy thingies will hold you in a special place-- in their stomaches! I think we'll stick with Charlton for a few more posts, and that means more sinister Sanho Kim creepiness as well! This is a neat tale of supernatural evil in a haunted house, and Kim does another great job with the atmospheric, clifftop setting, and those spooky characters of his possessing uniquely cramped, intense faces. From the Jan. '73 issue of The Many Ghosts of Doctor Graves #46... Charlton liked this story so much they reprinted it a few more times, even into the 80's.
On this day in 2007, THOIA was born! And I'd say we've had a pretty goddamn good run when you look at how much fantastic stuff is curated and collected here in the archive over these many 17 years. Of course I owe it all to the continued few of you out there that never stopped coming to my web house and leaving constructive, clever comments, and basically just become a perfect part of the Karswell Chum Squad. I once again also give a big shout-out thank you to those who suggested stories, donated scans, and basically just helped this blog expand and grow to the monster that it has become. My motto has always been "NEVER STOP" but realistically, how many more years can this go on? Only time will tell. So for now I think it's equally time to give the bigger boss His due, by paying a visit to another house where the horror... never... stops... from the February 1976 issue of Beyond the Grave #4.

Time to blast-off into the horror-filled void of scary outer space with an action packed creature feature from the July 1954 issue of Spaceman #6, (the actual final issue of this very short-lived Atlas series, in fact!)
