Here’s a gruesome concept: what happens when you make candles from the tallow of human corpses? Once again Ace pushes the boundaries of good taste for a shocker that somehow still manages to be a tad bit classier than the other publishers, courtesy of some top notch art and writing.

YOU REALLY HAVE TO APPLAUD ACE FOR GOING THE EXTRA MILE FOR DIFFERENT STORY LINES. THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST YOU'VE POSTED ALL MONTH. THANKS FOR CONTINUALLY OPENING MY EYES TO THESE OTHER GREAT PRE CODE COMICS!
I agree, excellent story and excellent art. I wish there were more info on this issue on GCD, I'd really love to know who the artist's are from today and yesterday's posts.
>love to know who the artist's are
If the issues themselves contain no credits then it's hard to get that info to even add to GCD. Some guys with keen eyes can use guess work and figure out the artists by comparing other stories that are signed... some styles are obvious like Kirby and Colan for example, others aren't.
I read somewhere that supposedly many pre-code publishers refused to allow their artists to sign their own work for whatever reason. This proves to be frustrating on too many levels to even mention.
Great!this could've been a Vincent Price movie,no problem(probably a clasic,if done right,maybe a semi-sequel to HOUSE OF WAX)my only gripes are that i wished it was longer,and no,sexy as Nejala is,she's not nearly as hot as Satan's daughter,no way in hell(oww!).
