Nightmare For Two

I was feeling a bit guilty about the length of today’s originally planned 3 page post (see: “The Nightmare” up next!) So what the hell--- it’s another two for one day at The Horrors of it All! What we have here is an ACG nightmare (for two) with a very chilling visual climax… my only gripe is that I wish I could see what happens next!

From the November 1953 issue of Forbidden Worlds #23

Good story! I really like the old Forbidden Worlds series, even the post code issues are alot of fun. ACG was one of the better publishers to mix horror and science fiction themes together.

Wow, a very scary cinematic moment on the last page:

"It was then that suddenly, fearfully, lightning rent the sky-- illuminating the pale, translucent film of the cocoon!"

I can picture Jason's terrifying discovery in my head with the great lightning eefect......but filmed in black and white of course!

Another great post. I immediately thought of "The Fly" when I saw the splash page.....

Yeah,id have loved to see the shot of the lightning illuminating the cocoon captured on film too,you get to see a similar effect in I MARRIED A MONSTER FROM OUTER SPACE.i think the story could have been set up better, but its still refreshing to see the ACG specialty;the young couple, portrayed as conniving jerks rather than lovebirds.

I don't know--when you find a guy who wears a tuxedo to a dusting job, you wanna keep him.

Help like that is hard to find nowadays.
