love the shot of the chick stabbing the brain with the scapel classic man love it!!!
And the final wordless panel ends on a disturbingly funny note, the dying brain just tossed into the garbage, flies swarming all over it... so sad. Obviously inspired by the classic Curt Siodmak novel Donovan's Brain (which was published in '43), this pre-code comic book version appeared 10 years later and actually came out the same year as Curt's MGM movie version.
no way!!! that the same movie as the one with the flying brain
Maybe you're thinking of Brain From Planet Arous, or possibly even Fiend Without A Face... I don't think there's a flying brain in Donovan's Brain, of course it's been years since I watched it though.Hmmm, maybe I should start a movie blog too?
I bet it's Fiend Without A Face, he's thinking of. "must...make more solution... "
If he had said "brains" plural I would have said Fiend Without A Face most definitely, but he said "brain" singular so I'm leaning more towards Planet Arous. Hey that sounds kinda naughty!
its brain from planet aros i looked it up I remember seeing it on 100% weird!!! remember that show on tnt like 10 yearsago?
I just need to know if the gloves Jane was wearing when she slashed the brain were either couture (vintage Dior perhaps...well, they would not have been vintage at the time) to match her smart polka dot outfit...or standard issue medical rubber?
I believe they were either Dents or Pittards... it is quite possible though that the ever resourceful Jane merely used a pattern out of McCall's Fall 1953 issue.
I have to be on the brain's side. Think about it -- the doctor tried to bring it back to life without it's consent and then cruelly left it in a pan. I think it had a pretty decent right to turn the doc into a drunk!
I like the idea of the doctor just flinging around major bodily organs randomly during his autopsy. Is he a muppet?
