HORRORS

Working on a larger, eerier post that'll be up shortly, in the meantime I had a few requests for anything by Dick Briefer, so here's a fun day Sunday shorty from the September - October 1947 issue of Frankenstein #9.

And speaking of ghosts, advance copies of my new GHOSTS book are here (available everywhere October 8th), and it looks spooktacular! Click the image on the side bar (or HERE) to get more info and to pre-order your copy NOW!

Thank you Mr.K. for this September Sunday shorty story or a brief bit of Briefer buoyancy.

I love Dick Briefer. Page two of this thing may be my all-time favorite of its kind. A great post for the last day of summer. We can almost see Halloween from here.

Perfect time to buy a ghost book,, too! Seems like the Swamp Monsters book was just yestermonth. This one sort of crept up on me. I guess this is what it feels like when they come out on time, instead of having six months of delays? Congrats!

I love how they get away with telling the story without word balloons by using the exhibit entrance/exit signs, and how Briefer uses odd angles vs straight angles as the panels change. Really good "comic" art.
