Apologies for the delay with PART TWO, but here it is finally --I should know by now to never do a 22 page story the same week as HAASHOW-- (horrific highlights from the con coming up next!) But here's what you've all been waiting for, some of you on tenterhooks too apparently, haha! Hope everyone enjoyed this venture into Charlton Comics Group terrortory, if you want to see more, be sure to drop me a line... I like to mix things up around here so any thoughts, comments, or suggestions are always welcome! From the Sept '77 issue of The Many Ghosts of Dr. Graves #61.

The Hellfire Club (PART ONE)
Continuing on with our look at some cool 'n creepy Charlton Comics Group horror-- today begins a two-part post from the Sept '77 issue of The Many Ghosts of Doctor Graves #61 and features some really great art from Tom Sutton. It's a superbly written tale as well, the Dr. Graves character being a fun supernatural sleuth, and he's really got his hands full with this epic mystery overflowing with black magic, monsters, and murder! I think you're gonna enjoy this one-- PART TWO coming up NEXT!

Meeting of the Damned! / The Statue!
Two stories with a humorous horror twist from Wayne Howard today, both from the August 1978 issue of Ghostly Tales #131. If Wayne's style looks familiar to you it's because his mentor Wally Wood was a huge influence on most of the fabulous work he did for Charlton Comics in the 70's--read more about Wayne HERE! More Charlton on the way too, stay tombed...

Date with Death! / Man Who Was Afraid!
The final two stories from the April 1952 issue of Astonishing #12 that I could've sworn I'd already posted here at THOIA (my records say I did, but neither are to be found in the archive?!) Sorry for the confusion. Anyway, this completes this issue, check the archive for Gene Colan's Torture Chamber, Horror Show, and Bill Everett's "A Playmate for Susan." Paul Cooper pencils with a question mark are credited to Man Who Was Afraid --I think that's a goddamn good guess, certainly looks like it to me. Anyone have any thoughts about the art on Date with Death?

Her Lips Dripped Blood
What the heck, let's extend our Week of Werewolves for one more post with this delicious journey into fur-- errr, the Sept '53 issue of Journey into Fear #15, I mean! You can also find this great story reprinted in HAUNTED HORROR #2! I get emails all the time from people saying they still can't find the early HH issues, the first three (for those that need reminding) can also be found in our HAUNTED HORROR collected hardcover as well, click HERE! Hope everyone enjoyed the themed subject matter, we'll do another week of something gruesome next month (or maybe sci-fi or mad scientists as some of you suggested) --I'll start scouring the Karswell archives!

The Werewolf Lurks
In our last post we saw a werewolf that stalked, now this time we got one that likes to lurk 'n leer at leggy ladies in lingerie! It's a wild bit of lycan lunacy from the May 1952 issue of Journey into Fear #7, and hmm - tra - la - la, why it looks like a werewolf took a bite out of my cover-- wah!
