Got another spooky Russ Heath gem for you today, and scanned from the very first issue of Uncanny Tales too! Follow the GCD issue link below and check out the great cover art with slithering alien creatures leaving a spacecraft and worming their way into the cemetery dirt to revive a corpse--- could this possibly have inspired director Fred Dekker when he was writing Night of the Creeps?
From the June 1952 issue of Uncanny Tales #1

SOME ONE MAY HAVE SAID THIS BEFORE BUT ATLAS WAS REALLY GREAT AT MIXING HORROR AND SCI FI. I GUESS HAVING GUYS LIKE HEATH AND EVERETT MADE IT EASY FOR THEM THOUGH.
THE COVER YOU MENTION REMINDS ME OF NIGHT OF THE CREEPS TOO. ITS INTERESTING HOW THIS HEATH STORY TAKES THE SAME ALIEN BEINGS RESSURECT CORPSE THEMES BUT DOES SOMETHING DIFFERENT WITH IT THOUGH.
I just realized that when you click the images they do not open in the browser anymore, instead there's a pop-up asking if you want to open or save the image. I'm not sure why it's doing this now as I'm not uploading or posting any differently than I have been for the last 5 months. Does anyone know why this is happening or how to fix it?
your not the only one having this problems.......its happening on a few other blogs too, probably just some temporary blogspot glitch
A tastey morsel for breakfast. Never saw Night of the Creeps....
Genuinely creepy stuff.
