Triple-Header!

If the ancient Egyptian Karnak Curse in our previous post didn't do it for you, then how about a curse from the creepy old Carnoc Castle grotto instead? This story originally appeared here at THOIA in a black and white reprint version way back in 2017 (HERE), --but everyone hated the scan quality so I swore on the blood of thy ancestors that someday I would re-feature the proper, original story from the October 1951 debut issue of This Magazine is Haunted #1. George Evans art definitely deserves to be viewed in this manner, any 'ol way. Annnnd because the story is a whoppin' 13 pages long, I thought, hey, why not make this post even longer with some additional TMIH filler quickies, like even more fun Facts About Witches and Witchcraft (from TMIH #20), as well as a two-page Ditko horror adventure, via TMIH #17. This blog is pretty damned haunted too, you know?

Doom of the Cheat!

Here's another fun Charlton tale from the boiling bowels of doomed inner Earth. And like our previous post, it not only comes from the August 1954 issue of of This Magazine is Haunted #19, but is also illustrated by Sy Moskowitz again.

Time for a hysterical visit to hillbilly Hell, from the August 1954 issue of This Magazine is Haunted #19. I'm not exactly sure the writer of this tale understands how scarecrows work (ain't they supposed'ta scare the crows away?!), but in any event, it sure leads to one endless string of perfectly entertaining precode insanity and ultra violent supernatural vengeance from beyond the corn(field.) BRANG it on!

Showcase for Horror!

Continuing now with another monsterously macabre look at mannequin madness, and as a collector of said related subject matter myself, I'll go ahead and tell you this: DO NOT ABUSE YOUR MANNEQUINS! Because it's all true I tell ya, --TRUE!! From the August 1952 issue of This Magazine is Haunted #6, featuring some interestingly weird art by Leonard Frank.

The Coffin Maker!

IN COLOR! A terrific terror tale full of satanic suspense, also illustrated by Sheldon Moldoff (see our last post), and this time from the October 1951, debut issue of This Magazine is Haunted #1. This would've made a good old 1940's RKO horror mystery movie (starring Joan Bennett and Donald Meek), and I was actually tempted to repost it here in black and white to see if it would still work, but as some of you can see I'm running a bit behind schedule this October. Moldoff also created the wonderfully creepy cover art.

The Weirdest Corpse of All Time!

I've posted a lot of stories here over the years about stupid ass slobs getting their well-earned, just rewards. But occasionally I'll find a tale where I have to wonder, with everything truly awful all around him: "Does this guy really deserve his grisly fate?" Maybe the life he was living was worse and his death actually becomes his well-earned escape, who knows... anyway, we're keeping things weird and corpsey around here, in fact, today's tale is about The Weirdest Corpse of all Time!
