In case anyone new to The Horrors of it All is wondering what these "Karswell's Night Gallery" posts are all about, the focus here is to display the wonderfully weird, artistically amazing, yet foolishly forgotten craft of classic painted paperback cover art. Sometimes the cover imagery is the best thing about an old book... you never know what treasures you can unearth digging around in an dusty old used bookstore.

I really need to read more of Frank Belknap Long's work. The only one of his stories I can think of off the top of my head is the Hounds Of Tindalos.

TRIPPY ART!! THE OLD PAINTED PAPERBACKS DO HAVE MORE APPEAL THAN TODAY'S CRAPPY PHOTO COVERS.

I'VE HEARD OF LONG'S MYTHOS STUFF BUT NEVER READ ANYTHING. WHAT DO YOU RECCOMEND?

Hounds Of Tindalos is a fantastic collection, and highly reccomended to anyone interested in getting familiar with Long's best short story work.
