Double Feature

Like yesterday’s post, this tale takes place at the moving picture show too... only, our madman’s intentions today are quite different. This leaves me asking one simple question: Is that an ancient Amazonia bipennis in your pocket, or are you just happy to kill me?

From the May 1954 issue of Mystic #30

Very EC! But not really horror, I know it fits into your movie theme this week but it's more like a crime comic.

So?

Nothing wrong with having a non-supernatural story sometimes. And I can't think of another story where the main character talks back to the captions.

A nice film noir story.

You do understand the point of my blog right? 50's pre-code comics... of course the stories are going to be old.

>please post more if you can...

I post stories everyday.

Well,i admit it's a bit of a let-down for a "mystic" title, but Atlas never followed their titles much, all that aside,it's great.love the scenes of Warren arguing with the narrator, nice slap in-the-face to assholes who complained about 2nd person narration back then, and the set-up is almost Hitchcockian,i also notice in some panels,Warren looks like Jack Nicholson!.

Sry Bro I didn't mean to be rude earlier. I was just joking. Just keep up the good work. Like to see more of it.

I didn't think you were being rude, your comment just seemed a little confused about what I'm posting. No biggy, we're all ball busters around here.

Tomorrow it's a double post DD attack! No, not Daredevil--- Ditko and Disbrow! See ya in the morn!

Another TV-themed story you could post is The Invasion from Witches Tales #21 (reprinted in Shocking Tales Digest - I have this version but not the original).
