This Corpse is Mine

Another typically eerie Atlas horror tale... Stan Lee probably used this same plot a million and half different times, but I’ll be damned if I ever get tired of it no matter what the variation.

This story does feel a bit familiar in many ways to some others I have read but hey if it works why not keep using it?

love the first panel at the top of page 4 of the monsters brawling, but the close-up of the wolfman's face right below it his head looks like an acorn.

ATLAS WERE THE KINGS OF THE SIMPLE AND SUCCESSFUL FORMULAIC STORY VARIATION.......ITS A SHAME THEIR GREAT HORROR TITLES WERE LATER OVERRUN WITH THE SAME SCI FI STORY USED OVER AND OVER THOUGH THEY WERE'N THE ONLY ONES GUILTY. I'M TALKING ABOUT THE WHOLE "OH NO WE WERE ON EARTH THE WHOLE TIME! TWIST" AS PER THE ENDING OF PLANET OF THE APES.

I understand your point, it does feel like that's the usual twist on alot of sci-fi stories, or even better (or worse) is the over used twist that the guy we all thought was human the whole time was actually the alien weither on his own planet or another, or in disguise or not.

No,the most overused Atlas plot in the Googam era was "the alien--he wasn't trying to kill us,he was here to help us,but now he's gone and it will be light years for him to return,o'woe!" but i have to admit,i DO like this story,and dont find it too repetitive,i love the idea of a guy inadvertantly choosing his own death instead of some ironic murder,good art even if it bleeds a little in the coloring,my only gripe is the werewolf looks like an ape.

Yeah, the alien had the cure for cancer, and the means to stop all wars and famine! And we killed him!

Too bad the alien couldn't stop Wertham...
