Yep, it’s two-for-one day here at The Horrors of It All, we’re featuring a double shot from Mysterious Adventures #18, so once again sit back and enjoy yourselves with today’s back-UP feature, it’s a killer little puppet show that won’t leave you hangin’...

Might have been scarier if the puppets didn't look like midgets but still this is a good one. And this does seem like a very good issue of Mysterious Adventures to try and find.
BOTTOMS UP WAS BETTER BUT THIS ONE HAS A GREAT SPLASH WITH THEIR HEADS FALLING OFF....I LIKE THE ZOMBIE HOST TOO
Love how this story starts out so charming and sweet and then turns so sadistic, and even though his puppets are a source of fear and the supernatural element,i can't really bring myself to call Fritz the villain of this story, and yeah,i love how blunt the narrator is "The Corpse!!".
seems like everyone wanted to get in on the horror host thing, is it fair to call that decision a rip off though.......EC didnt own exclusive rights to having a horror host narrator did they?

No, of course they didn't, though I'm sure Uncle Al would love to have taken credit for that too. I really don't want this to be an EC bash blog, they did their thing better than anyone, mostly I just want to focus on the good stuff that other pre code publisher's created too, no matter how much they ripped or swiped or tributed or whatever you wanna call it.
I wonder if this is where the idea of the puppet master movies came from. They were create by an older German man too.
