Nope, it’s not the trailer for the Michael Landon monster movie classic from ‘57; it’s a rare music video clip from 1980 of one of my all-time favorite psycho-rock horror bands THE CRAMPS performing live! If you dig what you see you can find out more about this legendary band here: www.thecramps.com

Does Lux Interior remind anybody else of Iggy Pop?
>Does Lux Interior remind anybody else of Iggy Pop?
PEOPLE HAVE BEEN SAYING THAT FOR NEARLY 3 DECADES BUT I'VE ALWAYS LOOKED AT HIM AS A ZOMBIFIED ELVIS FROM OUTER SPACE OR SOMETHING. I THINK LUX AND THE CRAMPS HAVE CARVED OUT THEIR OWN ORIGINAL AND CONSISTANTLY WILD PLACE IN THE HISTORY OF HORROR ROCK, WITHOUT ALL THE COMPARISONS.
a true classic! incredible footage from one of the greatest bands ever. i was shocked to see this here this morning
thanks!!!!
So everyone can see the video? It's not appearing here in my browser this morning for some reason, but then when I go to youtube I can't get anything to come up there either so maybe they're experiencing some technical difficulites, not me.
But yeah, The Cramps, amazing band... I've seen them live a half dozen times and they're always mind blowing.
I think I'll be posting more music vids in the future, as long as it's something with a horror edge (and I don't mean bludgeoning death metal with cookie monster vocals.) Only the good stuff!
If only we had made a video for "Make a Deathwish".......
Its playing fine in my browser today, amazing clip thanks man! one of the comments on youtube says this is footage recorded but never used for Urgh! A Music War. I wish someone would put that out on dvd soon!!!

Me too!
Yeah... I was just telling my wife it's from the same concert as the URGH clip... very nice. It'd be a great concert to see ALL of, despite no Brian Gregory.

YES!!!!!
Karswell's a Cramps fan!
Love the early albums of these guys - Psychedelic Jungle, Songs the Lord Taught Us, etc.
I always loved the surfy punk sound of the Cramps, but as a 16 year old, I never knew how to process them, and was a little freaked out.
I still like them and they still freak me out.
>Karswell's a Cramps fan!
Yes I am... I also played in a band in the early 90's and we actualy shared the same management too.
>I never knew how to process them
That could be exactly the point of The Cramps.
Karswell what was the band's name?
