It’s the final Saturday in April that means the last of the great Brian Hirsch submissions from The Thing! Anyone know the artist here? Also, as mentioned in yesterday’s comments there will be no new posts this Sunday, but there will be two story posts on Monday to make up for the loss of creepiness, (another story from Brian and the other from lil ‘ol me.) But for now, punch your ticket and enter the weirdest wax museum of them all…

FYI: I keep forgetting to mention too that Brian Hirsch is selling a copy of Green Hornet #26 on ebay right now (this is the issue with the imfamous Zebra story we posted the other day.) Click Brian's name in any of the descriptions from his post submissions and it will direct you to his ebay store. Take a look, he always has all kinds of great stuff and priced nice too!
THE THING SEEMS TO HAVE IT'S OWN KIND OF STYLE, VERY WEIRD STUFF. THE MELTING FACE PANEL IS REALLY DISTURBING. LOVEIT OF COURSE!
A most excellent post. Perfectly creepy.
The Things are always fun. Thanks for passing them on to us. The last page with the melting face is classic! Great story.
Mark me up as another melting face fan.what i like is how nothing is ever really explained,i mean, none of the murderers rob anybody, but how did Blackbeard know about the Van Tykes?.i also love how Terry basically commits arson to help a woman he thinks is insane, and the firefighters don't even give a shit!.whats also funny is how Mr. Hyde is depicted as if he was a real person,so either this takes place in the same universe as DJ&MH,or that Deacon Brodie fellow was ugly as hell...and are these posessed statues or frozen people like that "Mask of the Medusa" story from MYSTERY IN THE AIR?.it's thse crazy qualities that help the story rather than hinder it,in my opinion.
Long and interesting throughout! Eyecatching as always.
Hi!!!
I discovered your blog through Maurizio Ercole and Adrio the Boss.
I like this kind of horror comics you sport in here.
Did you know that here in Italy we had a great tradition of popular horror comics back in the '70s and early '80s?
If you like to check it out, my blog has my artwork on display too!

I'm with horror pariah -- I enjoy the plot holes and goofy jumps in the stories. A great tale, and the melting faces were done quite well.
I love how Booth shoots the cabbie just for the heck of it, like he went around shooting people in the back of the head all the time.
Elsa's witnessed two murders. Ever thought of calling the cops?
And why is Albert Einstein in the museum at the top right panel of p9?
Thing is one of my faves. I have never seen a clunker from there. More if you have them.
Agreed thing rocks, even before ditko
Hello everyone, glad to hear THOIA still managed to entertain you all this weekend. Karswell and Co. took a much needed weekend family getaway but I have returned and will be sharing the scares tomorrow (Monday) with 2 new story posts.
Thanks to everyone who keeps coming back and commenting, it really makes doing this daily totalilly worth it... and also thanks to all you first time posters, we're glad to have you aboard! See ya in the morn!

>>Elsa's witnessed two murders. Ever thought of calling the cops?
I was totally hoping that the reason she didn't call the cops was that SHE was the murderer, having gone crazy and done the murders she thought the wax figures were doing! Her boyfriend's failure to see anything when she claimed the figures were after them made me hope so even more. maybe that IS the answer! :)
>>i also love how Terry basically commits arson to help a woman he thinks is insane
Yeah, that's a brilliant plan, there, Terry! "If our oxygen holds out until the wood partition burns, we'll be free!" Of course if it doesn't, we'll be charred corpses! Oh well, it's our only shot!
And WHY do wax museums always seem to get set up in tinderbox/fire traps? Seems like someone would realize this is always a bad idea...
