The Blood Money of Galloping Chad Burgess

Got a very spooky Alex Toth tale for you today, one with great use of silhouette and quite a bit of the old red stuff too. I say, do you hear hoofbeats or is that just my heart pounding? Gor blimey!

From the June 1952 issue of The Unseen #5

not crazy about the splash for some reason but other than that a total toth classic for sure........the panel with her clawing his cheek hurts just looking at it!

My favorite panel is the first one on page 8. The crazy knife weilding woman in silhouette, posed in that manner... let's just say I'm glad I'm not the guy walking up that lonely path with that in chilling form lurking among the shadows ahead of me!

Thanks for posting this rare Toth - plus all your other gems - for us to enjoy. You're doing the world a huge service and, as my father-in-law says, "you will be richly rewarded... in heaven." ;-)

It is kind of hard to spend bloody money--store clerks are usually a bit squeamish about taking it.

Thanks Leif! But "heaven" you say? I think my Dark Lord Boss might have a problem with that.

And thanks to Lily Strange too for all the hilarious comments on all of our Weird Women posts this week! Silly Lily I calls ya!

Did she cut those ropes with her boobs or just flex?
Anyway, I can never get enough Toth.
