What Walter Saw / The Miracle

A couple of fast 'n fun Atlas quickies today that I had on file (saving for future filler), the first tale by Edwin Goldfarb and from the June 1952 issue of Adventures into Terror #10, and the second from Bill LaCava and the February 1952 issue of Adventures into Terror #8. And later this week I have some crazy ass Dark Mysteries tales lined up for you... in the meantime I'll be re-cooping from my disasterous car accident yesterday-- wah!

And don't forget about our DRAW ME CONTEST going on NOW! Get your entries to me by this Friday... check last Thursday's post "The Gypsy Curse" for more details!

I thought the first story here read like a euphemism, you know, about sizehood, but then that was perverted more than I was comfortable with when the short guy started gathering up the ends of other people's tools to make his own into some madness-inducing monster. Look out, those gametes in the last panel are packing chromosomes!

And PS, the cover for Adventures Into Terror #10 may be, like, my favorite ever.

I was thinking about getting a telescope, but I don't want that one. I don't want to see a bunch of insectoid aliens floating around in the atmosphere.

TWO GOOD ONES!! ATLAS REALLY COULD PACK MORE FUN AND STORY INTO JUST 2 OR 3 PAGES ALMOST BETTER THAN ANYONE. SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT THE ACCIDENT, WERE YOU HURT?

I don't remember giving you permission to be in a car accident. Don't you know you're supposed to submit a written request, notarized, in triplicate?

Seriously, are you okay, Kars?

"But I've only got a little telescope… While those others are bigger, more powerful!"

It's okay, Walter. It's not the size of the telescope that matters, but what you do with it…

I'm sorry to hear about your car accident, Karswell. Hopefully, no one's been hurt.

no more disastrous car accidents for you, young man! uh, you okay?...

Your readers fear more for your recovery and well-being right now than we fear aliens and ghosts. (Though those were good short and snappy tales.)
It is a good sign you felt well enough to post a couple of stories for us. Take care of yourself.

Hey Karswell... I hope you're feeling better! Takest care of thyself!

Thanks everyone, just got a little banged up, no broken bones but I'm still very sore and limping, plus I have an ugly burn across my neck from the seatbelt saving me. My car is totalled though :*(

And no worries, my comic book collection is totally fine! I know you were all much more worried about that, haha.

Coming up: Ghosts! Cannibals! And finally-- the proper way to kill a witch! Plus a few other surprises as Halloween gets closer...

Yeah, for 'Continuity of Government' sake, I always travel seperately from my Comic Book Collection. Maybe you should delete that 'Gypsy Curse' post from your blog...

Yes, if you DO have to drive with your comics, drive with a soft cushion of low-grade Archie comics surrounding you and your pre-codes...get better, sir!

"It's not really stealing...after all, I'm just borrowing them!"
Hmmmm, those words seem to escape my lips everyday!

Wow, that's crazy to hear about the car accident. Glad to see you made it out okay (and the pre-codes!). Well, hopefully you've had your "turn" now, and like getting struck by lightening, it's unlikely to happen again!

Thanks as always for providing the great stories for us weirdos and social misfits.

As sorry as I am to hear about your car, I'm delighted we're able to sit around and lament just an ugly burn on your neck. Let's keep all the carnage pre-code, all right? Sentimental mush.

Thanks again everyone, and I promise if something like this happens again I'll try to make sure it has a horrific supernatural twist ending.

Also wanted to add: If you've ordered a THOIA tee recently, more specifically an XL size (which is next to impossible to keep in stock) your order is shiping either today or tomorrow. I apologize for the delay.

You've been looking at too many Kingston, Ontario ladies while drivin' again!

Hope nothin' fragile broke. Get well!
