Werewolves

Ahhhh, werewolves... who doesn't love them? This is a mean spirited yet fun little story with great art that feels and reads a bit like an early EC story, (courtesy of the ever weak-willed pushover forced to do something he doesn't want to do by his evil, impatient, money grubbin' old lady.) I can forgive the somewhat predictable ending because our happy couple look so wonderfully at peace together in their final panel.

From the April 1954 issue of Mysterious Adventures #19

Well like any comic series it definitely had it's high points and low points... Mysterious Adventures had some gruelingly excellent horror tales, their earliest issues are kind of weak but mid era issues were generally consistant and worth the price. Towards the end of their run though you could tell they wanted to be MAD and was slowly trying to work in some humor which required a sense of humor that none of their writers seemed to have.

I'm not sure why some stories resonate better with some commentors more than others. Sometimes I think if it looks like too much to read people will just skip over it. I went through a phase when I was a kid where I'd only read word balloons and completely ignore the narrative.
