Re-visiting the Dungeon of Doom yesterday only reminded me just how whacked-out and repulsive issue #6 of Chamber of Chills really is. So, bad news for you Harvey haters because for the first time on this blog I’ll be posting the ENTIRE ISSUE over the next few days! Pull out your barf bags my friends, today brings you (gag!) ---Jelly Death!
From the March 1952 issue of Chamber of Chills #6

THAT WAS THE WEIRDEST STORY IVE READ HERE SO FAR!!!! NAMES OF THE OTHER STORIES FROM THIS ISSUE SOUND INTERESTING TOO I LOOK FORWARD TO READING THEM ALL
hahaha! Bob Powell is delightful. The story was completely wonky, and the blood dabbled jelly panels were pretty nasty. Great Stuff!
It's like the Michelin Man and the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man had an abortion that somehow survived...
the giant spider attack in this is more horrific than the squishy lard monster...... im looking forward to seeing what 7 skulls of mogambos about
Well,I gotta say that's one of the best Harvey stories i've seen in all my life,i felt sympathy for poor Doctor Larson too,it just would have been much better if the story didn't make out Bowen to be an avenging hero when it was he who screwed everything up,and instead made it look like he was making up for his mistake.still, the Powell art is excellent and atmospheric, and you can just feel the encroaching Googam era stories.i also wonder if this story was partly inspired by THE VAMPIRE BAT with Lionell Atwill, but just one thing...out of context;wouldn't that splash panel look...well...weird?
