Yet another Mike sekowsky story.

Poor Karl. Even as a werewolf, he was more geek than wolf.

Ace Comics taught me not to feel sorry for the less fortunate because they are in league with Satan. Always. Thanks, Ace Comics!

Love the German names they use: "Grausam" means "gruesome" and "Zwiebelbart" means "onionbeard".

Thanks for the story!

Wow, this one would have made a PERFECT Paul Naschy movie! It's all there--witches, wax museum, a werewolf, and unrequited love! Karl is almost Waldemar Daninsky in ink!

I love the full-on shot of the werewolf running at the bottom of pg. 6--almost Kirby-esque.

I can't tell for sure, but did Bertha get away free? Or did Karl kill her before he was cut down? The way she was jerking poor Karl around, it would seem strange if she got away without tasting his furry vengeance. ;)

"The fucking bitch."

Haha, my thoughts exactly! And the German names cracked me up, too. I'm wondering if the author even knew their meaning or if he simply flipped through a German dictionary and selected words at random.

Anyway, thanks a lot for this Walpurgisnacht treat, Karswell! I'll be sure to search the sky for weird gals on flying goats and brooms tonight…

Who knew going to the witches sabbath (no apostrophe) was so convenient? We ought to go some time and ask if their refrigerator is running.
