Heads Will Roll

I’ve posted many Paul Reinman stories in the past, and this is by far one of his best. Top notch work here in all areas: inking, lay-out, colors, detail, spookiness… bravo!

From the April 1954 issue of Adventures into Weird Worlds #28

Nice...though compared to the other ones you've been posting lately, this one seems positively low-key! Still, interesting variation on "The Tell-Tale Heart"--call it "The Hollering Head!" ;)

I DISAGREE WITH THR VICAR, THIS ONE HAS BEEN MY FAVORITE SO FAR THIS WEEK. THE OTHER STORIES WERE GREAT BUT THEY WERE MORE CAMPY, I ACTUALLY FELT A CHILL GO UP MY SPINE READING TODAYS POST!

MORE REINMAN PLEASE!

I didn't say it was bad, just that it was less crazy! ;)

Ha ha... good one. But yeah you're right, very much like Telltale Heart. If you missed it the first time take a look at Trophies of Doom that I posted back in December, it's another fine tale of decapitated horrors:

Haven't commented for a while but I've been here everyday. Great little story today, more on the horriffic side.

You have been doing a fantastic job with the site. Love it.

I agree that the Reinman piece is a gem, but then the previous Fass selection was nice & wonky too.

I'm easy to please!

Reinman may not have been the worlds greatest inker, but he was a more than competent storyteller, and yes, this is my favorite post this week. poor Jurgens,he needn't have been so Curt...

Reinman could ink circles around any modern day inker with his eyes closed, this story is fabulous.

This is the best severed-head-on-a-stick story I've ever read! It's the pike's peak!

Ha ha... imagine if Jay Scott Pike had illustrated this one!
