Thanks everyone, I was hoping for more submissions but I kind of added the contest at the last minute and now see clearly that alot of you just didn't even know about it. We'll do another DRAWING CONTEST in September for sure. Who's got a good suggestion?

Well, I'll sum up to the "I would've liked to submit something" people. It can't get better than Bob Hope! another contest won't be the same!
choosing who to vote for is going to be extremely difficult...
I laughed so hard, the tears flowed when I saw Jamieson's Bob Hope illustration.
What stood out, other than the wacky and ingenious humor of it, were the Iger Shop-esque eyes on his (or her) rendition of Bob Hope.
That is why I used to think Iger Shop was a single artist, because the style of the eyes are so distinct.
Anyway, a big mazel tov to Jamieson. By the way, my paternal grandmother's mother was a Jamieson. Perhaps there may be more to this. Who can say?

Daaang. Thanks everybody. I feel a little sheepish getting so many votes, since all of these entries are so very damn cool. I especially love the one by Ms. Strange. I thought the Bob of bacon and toast was surreal enough to be sublime.

Morning everyone! I apologize for not updating last night after the contest ended but blogger was acting like a bug again and not allowing me to do anything. And as we can all see from the results, Mr C has indeed won! Congrats my friend! Now I do know for a fact that you aleady have a THOIA shirt so unless you want another one I will make plans to send you something else. And just because I loved all the entries so much, everyone who entered will receive a special consulation prize, so everyone email me their addresses pronto!

Other 'Learn How to Draw' ads could be used for future contests. There was that Tippy turtle ad, the famous artist dude smoking a pipe in his studio, etc...
