Harvey excelled in stories geared to smash you brutally over the head with horrific violence, but they also had more subtle tales like this that played out in the harmless manner of a really spooky Twilight Zone or Thriller episode.
I know that covers and splashes often play fast and loose with the content of a story but it's a little strange for the splash of a mere four-pager to be so at odds with the scene in the story proper -- the guy digging the grave actually doesn't know it's the hunter's grave, and the hunter's the one who realizes it's for him.

Abrupt.
I LOVE ABRUPT ENDINGS LIKE THIS, LIKE YESTERDAYS BRIDE OF THE CRAB POST, IT REALLY NAILS IT HOME WITHOUT DRAGGING IT ON AND ON. PERFECT.
Good simple story of unavoidable doom. Contains really nice coloring and interesting angles too.

>“we’ve all got one”, and “they all stink.” The grave I mean
what if I'm getting cremated?

Then the inside of your urn is a good place for a stick up.
As abrupt as it is, the ending was fitting. Loved it.
Been missing your blogs quite a bit, Karswell. Good to be back, even if only for reading week. :)

I would have recommend take the route home that does travel right next to the ocean.
