Here’s a small gallery of cool Fawcett horror comicbook ads, you gotta love how inspired some of the taglines are… “If the dead could be frightened back to life!” and “To pry loose the lid of musty coffins and unleash eerie and terrible beings beyond all imagination!” On a few occasions these comics actually delivered what they promised.

THE LAY OUT FOR THIS MAGAZINE IS HAUNTED AD ISN'T VERY INTERESTING BUT THE OTHERS ARE ALL COOL.
I've yet to read anything in the Worlds of Fear series that "defy all description." Fawcett had some really good titles but despite some nice cover art (especially the awesome eyeless Saunders painting on #10) Worlds of Fear is one of my least favorite.
The Mummy host looks more like a witch, or a mummy in a witches costume.
For some reason The Mummy looks like Jackie Earle Haley to me in the face. You know, the kid from the Bad News Bears movies.
Oh man, I love these. I have a stack of old Creepy and Eerie Warren mags and some of my favorite things about them are the ads.
Actually, it's the same with my old X-men and Power Pack comics--the ads are hilarious nostalgia trips.
Yes, I collected Power Pack. Hey, that was a great premise. My kids love 'em. :)
