If Flesh Could Crawl…

Sorry to do this, but you’re going to have to wait a few more days for the Nostrand / Kremer Double Header, but trust me--- it will definitely be worth the wait! Instead today we’re gonna tide you over with a classic Ace creeper featuring possibly the greatest title of any story I’ve ever posted here. Enjoy!

Stolen Skin / Out of the Grave

Today, THOIA takes you on a trip through the undisputed darkest chapter in evil modern human history, on this, the 120th anniversary of the birth of the most sinister creature to ever walk the face of the Earth: Adolf Hitler. It’s a double shot of revolting nazi nasties, the latter from the grimmer depths of Farrell Publication pre-code tastelessness, while our first tale is another Flash Forward presentation from the November 1981 issue of DC's Weird War Tales #105. Umm, enjoy?

What? You didn't know that Frankenstein, Dracula, Wolfman (and Medusa) battled nazis together in WW2? Get the scoop on The Creature Commandos by clicking HERE!

Don't Share My Coffin!

Here's the bonkers Moe Marcus / Rocco Mastroserio tale I promised to Phantom Phil... and FYI: I'll have more from Harvey Comics at the end of the month, including a very appropriate story to finish things off for April. Hope everyone is still with us and not put out by the temporarily dragging THOIA schedule, I promise to get things a little more on track this summer because there's definitely lots more horrors to come! Stay Creepy...

Black Dust

Some of you THOIA readers know about my undying love for Larry Blamire and his incredible 1950’s-esque comedy horror/sci-fi film tribute The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra. But what some of you may not realize is that yesterday Larry graciously plugged THOIA on his brand spankin’ new Bantam Street blog (click HERE!) and of course now I'm uncontrollably grinning like a fleshless skull. So to show my continued appreciation today I’m posting another western horror tale for Larry and his posse, this one from the March – April 1953 issue of Skeleton Hand #4 (ooo, "skeleton" …ironic, ain’t it?)

And learn more about Larry Blamire's own great weird westerns by clicking HERE! NEXT: The other Harvey tale that I promised ya!

Or: How I Spent My Spring Break

From the Sept. '52 issue of Baffling Mysteries #10

So, THOIA returns for a quick fix, we hope everyone didn't miss us too much. As mentioned in the last post we will not be daily anymore, at least not for the next few months, but there will be new posts occasionally, at least a couple a week--- so please keep it tuned right here!

We very much appreciate everyone who still came by and commented during our hiatus too, and welcome to all those who recently joined the 100% Pre-Coders Followers gadget!

Lots more to come, Stay Creepy...
