Time for an entertaining spirit debunkin' tale from the Dec 1948 - Jan 1949 issue of Gangsters Can't Win #6. Nice, but unidentified artistry here, though looks familiar... anyone have any suggestions? Starring Tura Satana as Electra, Beverly Garland as Suzy, and Kenneth Tobey as Dick Fowler.

I do like the twist that Dick is actually an undercover cop.
Aw, I dearly love Beverly Garland. But I still think it's in pretty bad taste to ask if a woman who has been run over by a car was actually "driven to her death." Groaners like that belong at weddings, not funerals.
I really like the art here too. Page five is so jazzy and wild. Not bad for a page full of faces.
Being a detective is so much fun -- especially as you get to pick up a lady that is completely crucial to building your case! Somebody needs to get bounced from the force!
I'm not exactly sure projecting a complete lookalike ??? of Mrs. Bell is on the up and up, either!
I really do like the art here and I like how well it ramps everything up on the last 3 pages. Pretty good for the late 40s!
My humorous near encounter with a psychic-
The psychic hotline called my house and asked to speak with me, my mom was at home at the time and replied- "He is at work, didn't you know that?"
If psychics are in connection with the other side, why don't they get next week's lottery numbers, or are the spirits non gamblers?
This is looking ahead to the Sean Connery Bond movies, the way he "wins over" the villain's / villainess's blonde helper.
Judging by the bottom of Page 6, the afterlife gave Mrs. Bell female bodybuilder arms!
