It's finally time to get October rolling with a hilariously messed-up quickie from the November 1951 issue of Mystic #5, with artwork credited to Hy Rosen. If the annoying Atlas a-hole commenters from a few years back can keep their lil baby ass bullshit comments to themselves I might actually get back to posting more Atlas tales again. It's up to them to behave themselves-- so here we go...

Hilariously messed up is a perfect description of this one. I have no idea who came up with this twisted tale but I applaud them. I'm surprised it didn't even occur to our protagonist that this rather obvious result to his suicide would be the outcome.
Hm. "A Perfect Day for Bananafish," starring Archie. I can dig it.
Haha
I would have added just one more panel at the end. He'd be in a straight jacket with a bandage on his head in a padded cell and the cat and mouse image would be a thought balloon.
That ending actually managed to surprise me. I thought he was going to come back AS the cat!
I'm going to assume this is from your deal of the century? The cover was a little tattered but the insides are great (well, as great as printing of the day could be.)
Yup, I like this tale. Once you hit the reincarnation part you know where it's going, but it's certainly an unexpected direction before you get there. "Best laid plans" and all!
I love how he's hanging out with his hot girlfriend, and she randomly mentions reincarnation so his first thought isn't necking but suicide! Now that's a real fear of cats!
Neat and nasty...and a perfect artist for it. The woman should have told him about the rule of Karma.
Johnny looks a little like an uptight version of Archie Andrews. Maybe that was deliberate.
