God, how I love it when the bad guy actually wins!

  2. Was Cyril really the bad guy here? Not that he was a good guy either.

  3. Cyril's involuntary transformed state was analogous to involuntary intoxication. Whether he was in fact a bad guy would have been determined by whether he subsequently chose to transform himself.

    The bad gal lost.

  4. It seems the side effect of a courage drug is bunny warts. If there was an eerie re-make of this, it would be a torn cheek and exposed teeth!

  5. I don't see why an elixir would help little Cyril. Helen looks pretty good in the last panel of page 2. If that wouldn't help him, indeed he was hopeless.

Cyril is fully aware of what he did, even hides from the police so he's in full control of his murderous desires, and can tell right form wrong. He is therefore legally responsible for his crime, making him a murderer, making him a bad guy -- and I love it!

  7. To everyone wondering if Cyril was a bad man or not-- yes, I mean, he experimented on a bunny, right?! Just joking. Actually he's bad cuz he let that guy talk him into that hat!

  8. Anonymous, nope. By claiming that he is fully aware and by saying that he is in full control, you are utterly begging essential questions. The internal evidence is that Cyril would not have committed these acts if not under the influence of the drug, and its administration was without his consent. People who have been involuntarily intoxicated have behaved in ways not much different from Cyril.

Economist. You are wrong. he knows he's done wrong, as is evidenced by his own words, his own thoughts. All your silly rhetorical squirming cannot change that, but I suspect it gives your life meaning, so go ahead.
