Got another weird witchcraft tale for you today from the March-April 1952 issue of Witchcraft #1. It’s a nifty story that I’d probably find much more scary if subconsciously I didn’t keep adding the word “tang” to the end of the word “Ouanga.”
Predictable but still good. Bob deserves his fate for being "bad horror-movie" dumb. Hmm, no one will take me to the island except this mysterious man who is hiding his face. Nothing suspicious there. (Bob would be the one in the horror movie who suggests splitting up).
Still good art and cool ghostly revenge always make a fun story.
This was a fun story today- I laughed out loud when I saw the Ouanga was a big skeleton arm sticking out of a necklace charm- gotta get me one of those.
I didn't quite follow what that Palbo dude was trying to say- I don't know what remembering when you are born has to do with the Ouanga story-but whatever.
This one gets posted because of the ridiculous idea of a skeleton arm necklace that sticks out horizontal instead of hanging flat. Maybe you could teach it to shake hands or hold doors open too.
Okay, so tomorrow is another ENTIRE issue in it's entire entirety. Don't miss it!
Cool and weird , as a good pre-code horror comic should be ;LOVE the last panel and the splash page ...
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing
It's fitting that Bob Grant should join the judge, governour, and executioner, because… uhm, er….
ReplyDeleteLOVE THE WEIRD SKELETON ARM NECKLACE, COULD THEY HAVE COME UP WITH ANYTHING MORE BIZARRE? AND GREAT HANGING SCENES TOO.
ReplyDeleteCAN'T WAIT TO GET MY SHIRT, AND I FORGOT TO TELL YOU HAPPY BIRTHDAY YESTERDAY TOO! ONE YEAR! WOW!!!!

ReplyDeleteBecause otherwise he serves no purpose in this story. I almost asked the same thing, though, and I salute you for going through with it.
