Here's a spooky early shocker from comic book legend Joe Kubertto kick off our “Weird Witchcraft Weekend.” I’ll have another story from this issue tomorrow too.
Mrs. K says "you're welcome" Kitty. Everyone did a great job this week with this casting call theme, I have an idea for the next contest but also wanted you peeps to shoot suggestions my way too. Have an idea for a cool THOIA contest? Let's hear it.
Also, honorable mention goes to Horror Pariah who had some really good choices this week too, if only you weren't moving... or?
And I love the Kubert art in this one. He was a childhood favorite with his Tarzan and war comics art. I remember seeing so many variations of that ad. Fond memories.
Thanks Karswell- just made my weekend to hear I snagged a shirt. Thanks for a fun contest and for providing me with such a great source of inspiration with this awesome blog of yours!!!
I really enjoyed this one. The artwork is great, and the plot is like The Picture of Dorian Gray, re-created for speed freaks with low attention spans.
\m/ Hells, yeah! \m/
ReplyDeleteHad a blast casting these creepy comics this week; thank you for hosting such a rockin' good time! (I probably need to get out more.)
Thanks also to Mrs. Karswell. I am not a loser, if only for tonight.

ReplyDeleteEXCELLENT KUBERT TALE, I CAN'T EVEN IMAGINE HOW INTIMIDATING IT PROBABLY IS/WAS TO BE IN ONE OF HIS ART CLASSES.
