Kiss of the Vampire
Here’s a typically weird vampire tale from Superior Publishers containing some wild touches like the spiked canopy bed of doom and the dried-up corpses of the vampire wench’s former “lovers” kept proudly on display. And how about those gruesome, melting eyeballs in the splash---WOW! Now if only the colorist had read the directions properly for the “white hair” in the final panel… oops!

Yep! That's a big glaring coloring error in the last panel, but the tale was enjoyable nonetheless.
ReplyDeleteThe final panel has two big color goofs, the white hair that's supposed to be black, and the big pink splotch over half the guy's face. The doomed panel!

ReplyDeleteI apologize, though I don't remember promising anyone anything... if I do have this story I will post it. Hopefully, it wasn't part of a trade batch of comics I parted with recently, if I still have it I will post it soon.

The color laser print of my studio works every day with this blog! In this great story there is an interesting panels composition.

As my free blogspot space dwindles down daily I sometimes contemplate deleting older stories to make some room for the new, but when I get comments like yours it makes me think I should just leave everything up. Thanks again.

Another great one. Love the very cinematic angles and shadows--and the use of circular panels on the corners of the pages gives it a weird, dynamic look. Plus, the spinning planets and stars and giant eyes when he's "under her spell"...great!
