Monster Maker

Here’s another thinly veiled re-telling of Frankenstein that plays perfectly as a duel chrome-domed, creature double feature alongside yesterday’s rampaging beast post.

From the June 1952 issue of Witches Tales #11

  1. Will they never learn? Using the brain of Abbey Normal or any of his family members is a bad idea!

I picture Christopher Lee in the role of the professor.

    – Ugh... Splutter... You're choking me...!
    – That's not all I'll do! I'll... Arrgghh!
Too bad the professor killed him at that very moment. I would have liked to know what else he would have done to him!
    Thanks again for sharing this!

AWESOME! I WONDER HOW MANY TIMES BEFORE THIS STORY THERE WAS A MONSTER OR VILLAIN THAT HAD A HEAD LIKE THIS WITH A VISIBLE BRAIN? OR WAS THIS THE FIRST? SEEMED LIKE A POPULAR LOOK FOR BAD GUYS IN THE LATER COMIC BOOK ERAS

  4. >HEAD LIKE THIS WITH A VISIBLE BRAIN?

That's a good question, anybody know the answer?

I know another popular bad guy look that should definitely be retired: the Deathlok-esque cyborg mechanical device that hangs down over one eye. Sooooo over-used.

I actually like the exposed brain look, really gruesome.not exactly the most....original idea for a story, but the artwork is beautiful and the story moves at a quick pace(EC. also did a Frankenstein rip-off,with this very same title!in HOF#17/3). >Abby Normal.haha.i always thought Frankenstein used the body of a cabman named Gray.
