Scientists discover a prehistoric giant frozen in a block of ice and accidently thaw him out--- with disasterous results of course! Sounds like something you’ve heard a million times before, right? Wrong. Good lord you don’t know pre-code comics my friend. Read on, cuz this one just gets weirder… and weirder… and weirder… and weirder…

Pitiful pygmies!LOL. well,I'll say this;a decapitated giant caveman head kept alive like the brain from DONOVANS BRAIN IS an original monster, fairly intelligent script though, and Forgiones work is above the norm, like John Romita it's more striking for the layout and ideas for the visuals rather than the visuals themselves, and the colorist is pretty good, even though on pg.4,last panel he forgets to shade the color patches in Milo's face, but then again;the only reason I ever heard of this series was beacause I saw a cover of one,boy was it atmospheric!,and the truth is,the reason Toor killed Milo was because he told him GEICO was so easy..that..well;it degenerated from there.
ReplyDeleteHa ha, "so easy even a caveman could do it." I do agree though, this feels like the beginning of the approaching Kirby era of where monsters dwell... but mainly I love this sort of simple plot when over the top details are added. The panels where his ice encased head is seperated from his body are just great.
