The Locked Door

We're at the halfway point of our week-long look at Atlas Comics' Adventures Into Weird Worlds series, and if you love ghosts and moldy rotted corpses (that aren't so safely tucked away in their coffins) then this one is for you! I remember someone mentioning something about artist Al Eadeh a few months back, so this one's for you too.

    VERY SPOOKY......I GUESS IN A MAD PANIC WITH GHOSTS ATTACKING YOU WOULD PROBABLY FORGET A LITTLE DETAIL LIKE YOU REMOVED THE CRYPT LOCK ALREADY TOO. EADEH'S ART IS ROUGH AND SCRATCHY BUT WORKS PERFECT FOR A STORY LIKE THIS.

    Yeah, for example the rough and scratchy cross hatching on page 3 panel 4 is not only cleverly enhancing the mood but also creating the line of action within the montage, forcing your eyes to follow Galston as he putters around the crypt robbing from the various caskets. Some may think Eadeh's style is a little rough but he definitely knew EXACTLY what he's doing.

    If you like his corpses,you should see his vampires,but best of all his rotten,decaying,snaggly TEETH!,thats what his strength was in drawing.im going to consider your Eadeh/proving post my Thanksgiving treat.
