A funny little Charlton creature quickie, from the July 1976 issue of Scary Tales #6-- warning you to keep your greedy little mitts off of other people's property!
I adore that creature, it's so cute, and with the big puppy dog eyes! I also love that you can see the guy in it's gullet, and all the drool on the ground.
This one is really made by the last couple panels. Nice fun little quickie.
Cool stuff; interesting layouts and character design, very easy to follow and understand. This tale might've been a good fit for either DC's PLOP! or Marvel's AARGH! titles, both fun humor/horror hybrids of the 70s...

It’s almost a Muppet Show skit
ReplyDeletePrada dentata?
ReplyDeleteI feel like there's a whole little subgenre of fantasy stories involving sentient handbags. Or maybe there should be?
An alligator purse that bites back, what will they think of next?
ReplyDeleteI wonder if this purse and its owner are the infamous duo from the song "Lady with the Alligator Purse".
>Prada dentata?
ReplyDeleteLOL --very clever!

How about a purse made out of human skin for alligators?
