Note that Menace -- one of the best precode horror comics -- was pretty much exclusively (aside from maybe a story or two) scripted by Stan for the first 7 issues.
Aside from the unparalleled work he did in the super hero world and his constant cheer-leading for comics, to us in the precode horror community, the first 7 or so issues of Menace were some of the best stuff out there.
He made a true believer out of me. Excelsior!

If there is a good afterlife, I think Stan Lee might be relocating Marvel headquarters and gathering up a few of the old artists right now.
