By now I'm sure everyone has seen the silly/fake "Starring on LOVE BOAT" photoshop hilarity floating around Facebook and wherever else you boils and ghouls haunt the web. I thought I'd join in the fun with my own monster mash-up featuring my favorite horror movie theme-- CREEPSHOW! Might be even more fun to make a contest out of it-- sooooooo anyone with clever ideas on how the stories from the movie would translate if they actually took place on a cruise ship on the high seas gets themselves a FREE copy of HAUNTED HORROR. Have fun, and extra points awarded for anything that makes me wanna barf overboard!
As a long-time fan of Creepshow.... this is great.... Good one Mr. Karswell....
ReplyDelete... a great weekend to you, as well

ReplyDeleteThanks B!
ReplyDeleteFull on magic! Great work!
ReplyDeleteThe more I think about it, the more I think Creepshow would fit perfectly into this format. The drownings, the roaches, the crates of tropical cargo. It's a little hard to imagine a meteor slam-dunking the porthole in Jordy's cabin, but I'm sure there's a pretty groovy workaround. Obviously, the animated bumpers would see Julie and Isaac picking on Gopher for reading his horror comics, culminating in all the hilarious ways he ends up stalking and murdering the rest of the crew one by one using horror gags he's picked up on shore leave. Surely this would have been a special ABC crossover, carrying into a second hour after the corpse-filled Pacific Princess, Captain Stubing lashed to the wheel, drifts into the shallow water off the tropical beaches of Fantasy Island. Its sole occupant is, of course, the mysterious and bloodthirsty Charo, who remains by day entombed in a huge pink layer cake, and is aided in her reign of island terror by her bug-eating mad henchman, Tattoo.
Thanks for the comments! Mr. C went above and beyond with his comment (and actually played the contest) so he wins!
