Me, Ghost

If you enjoyed our last jacked-up Jack Katz double feature post then here's your lucky number three, from the June 1953 issue of Adventures into Darkness #10. We'll be finishing out the month of July 2010 with other stories from this issue as well, featuring: demons, zombies, and endless tormenting death! It's gonna be fun...

As mentioned in the comments section of our last post, there's more Jack Katz in the THOIA Archive, so in case you missed it, now is your chance to encounter--

+++++++++++++++++++++++

  1. Nothing like a vengeful ghost story to start the weekend--especially when it's one of those rare weekends where I don't have to work. My paycheck will suffer, but sometimes I really need the time off because I start feeling like a ghost of myself. Not that I'm ever a ball of energy, mind.

  4. Speaking of the artwork, that's a VERY clingy yellow dress...

    Just be glad you have a job Bloomie, I've been hopelessly unemployed since Dec :(

    >i started to comment on the lack of logic in this tale

    Damn logic, ruins all the best pre code stories.

    >LOVE THE GHOSTLY ARTWORK

    That's what I love most about this Katz tale, the glorious overload of atmospheric ghostly backgrounds.

    >that's a VERY clingy yellow dress

    Stayed tuned for: "She, Camel Toe."

    >That groping ghost knows his stuff!

    Haha, that's one of the better tales tucked away in the THOIA Archives and primed for re-discovery. In fact, those of you who are new to THOIA should spend this miserably hot weekend and see what you've been missing for the last 3 years... you go now!

    Loved the Katz story, but wow the art on the one page filler is almost laughable. And what is the point to the story? What that supposed to be John's grave?

    I think maybe that was the point, it could be possible that they inadvertably left out a bit of the narrative cuz when you look at the tombstone in the last panel it looks like whatever name was on the stone was maybe removed, as if this would help any of it make more sense though.

    And agree about the art too.
