I met him a few times too at cons and when I worked at the Golden Apple Megastore in Los Angeles back in the 90's. His work will live on, and I can't wait to show my son the Rocketeer movie too.

ReplyDeleteI've lamented Stevens absence from comics in recent years many times.
After reading Mark Evaniers obit, I have to say that I'm even sadder to hear that Stevens never really made much money from his terrific comics work.
I'm glad that I got to meet him at least once.
